Bilt Mastercard®

The Bilt Mastercard® is a unique credit card in the market, ideal for those who pay rent in the United States, as it allows to do so with no extra fees while earning flexible points in the process.

It earns 3x on restaurants, 2x on travel, 1x on residential rent or HOA (up to 100,000 points per year), and 1x on all other purchases. It has no annual fee and does not charge foreign transaction fees. The card must be used at least 5 times during each billing cycle to earn points.

To pay rent without additional fees and earn points, you do not pay rent directly with the credit card but rather with a checking account number provided once the account has been approved. Subsequently, the charge is billed to your credit card, earning 1x per dollar along the way.

The points can be redeemed in several ways, including booking travel through the Bilt portal, fitness classes, purchasing items at Bilt, and even applying them to offset rent or for a downpayment for a property. Like other flexible points, they can be transferred to more than a dozen hotel and airline loyalty programs.

Although it doesn't offer a welcome bonus, its ability to earn points on rent payments without additional costs makes it an excellent option for renters looking to maximize their monthly expenses without paying an annual fee.
